| This day will cover the theory & practice of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in relation to depression. The term CBT refers to more than 20 approaches and NICE, the independent organisation responsible for national guidance, identified CBT as the first line treatment for depression. This workshop will establish an awareness of the approaches and interventions used in CBT treatment of depression. Practical skills demonstrated will include the ability to assess clients & formulate a treatment plan, the use of behavioural experiments, ways to challenge dysfunctional thinking and the use of homework negotiations. |

Patrizia is an experienced CBT trainer and is Senior Lecturer for Integrative Psychotherapy at the University of East London. She has trained many therapists and clients in the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy. She presented at two important conferences in 2008: the Annual BACP Conference and the Annual Conference for Coaching. She is co-author of 2 books and several papers on Mindfulness. Patrizia has studied in Austria, China and in Hong Kong. |
