personalCOUNSELLING

People seek counselling or psychotherapy for many different reasons. These are just some

of the issues we have helped our clients explore and resolve:

  • Stress and anxiety
  • Self-esteem and confidence issues
  • Issues with personal relationships
  • Loss and bereavement
  • Addictions
  • Sex and sexuality issues (including gay, lesbian and bisexual issues)
  • Physical and sexual abuse issues
  • Career or work-related matters
  • Meaning and purpose of life issues
  • Health and well-being issues
  • Coping with transition
  • Eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder)
  • Phobias
  • Psychosexual therapy
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Deliberate self-harm
  • Depression

Our therapists are experienced in helping people with a number of personal issues. We provide

a confidential space where clients can talk openly. At the first appointment, clients are welcomed into private, comfortable rooms to discuss their personal hopes from counselling. This initial consultation provides an opportunity to explore any thoughts or concerns about the counselling process. These first appointments usually last about an hour. Discussions are confidential.

We feel our clients are experts on themselves and we respect each client's personal goals in

therapy, using a combination of counselling approaches to achieve these goals. Whether the

issue is anxiety, depression, relationship problems or bullying at work we seek to understand

the problem from the client's point of view in order to help with change or resolution. For more information about our approach to counselling and psychotherapy, please continue here.

We operate a policy of non-discrimination on grounds of age, race, gender, sexuality, religion,

illness or ethnicity. And we do not judge behaviour, personal choices or past experiences.

Everyone's counselling needs are different. Some people benefit from just a few sessions while

others continue for longer. Clients may end therapy at any time, simply by letting us know.

Please get in touch to discuss your personal needs in therapy.
